That stain is a reminder of the great time you had and because you are equipped to remove it, you can laugh. There's a remedy at your fingertips.
When Removing Wax from Clothing or Washable Fabric:
You Will Need:
- A plastic bag and ice
- A dull knife
- A plain white or brown paper bag or plain white paper towels (no inks or dyes)
- A clothing iron
Step 1:
Apply a plastic bag filled with ice to freeze the wax until it is brittle or place the item into the freezer for 30 minutes.
Step 2:
Scrape off the wax with a dull knife or bend the fabric to remove the wax
Step 3:
Using the hot iron, lay a piece of the paper over the wax and a piece of paper under the fabric. Iron directly over the paper. The wax will melt onto the paper. Move the paper periodically and continue applying the iron, until the wax is absorbed.
Step 4:
If any residue is left behind, blot with a dry cleaning solvent after testing in an inconspicuous spot first.
