For removing permanent ink from laundry or fabric:
STEP 1:
Place an absorbent cloth under the stained clothing as you work with it. Place the clothing, stain side down, on the cloth.
STEP 2:
Using a clean white cloth, moisten the cloth with rubbing alcohol and blot the stain. As you blot, do not touch the stain more than one time with the same section of the blotting cloth; you do not want to spread the stain.
STEP 3:
Change the cloth under the fabric as it gathers alcohol and ink so that the stain does not spread underneath.
STEP 4:
Continue treatment until the stain is gone, then launder as usual.
*If the stain persists, change both cloths and blot with acetone (except on acetates) or you may use turpentine.
