Remove permanent ink from carpet is possible if caught as immediately as you can.
STEP 1:
Moisten a clean white towel with rubbing alcohol and blot the stain, gently. Don’t rub or scrub the carpet. This will damage the fibers and spread the stain.
STEP 2:
Allow the alcohol to act as your ink stain remover and let it dissolve the ink by letting it set for 30 minutes.
STEP 3:
With the damp cloth press it firmly into the stain with your knuckle. Twist your knuckle over the cloth and stain in a clockwise direction, which is the direction the fibers go. This will clean the stain from between fibers.
STEP 4:
To rinse the spot; mix ¼ cup of white vinegar to 1 quart of water and use the same procedure as with the alcohol.
STEP 5:
Rinse the spot with cold water.
Removing ink from your clothes
or other washable fabrics is done just a bit differently.
