You need:
WD-40:
(That's right! Go to the garage or the basement and get it.)
A fingernail brush:
(You can get one near the nail polish in the grocery store.)
A Spray Detergent/Degreaser:
(One like Lysol Spray Cleaner or 409 will work.)
REMOVE THE GUM:
STEP 1:
Remove as much of the gum as you can with a butter knife or your fingers by putting it off.
STEP 2:
Lay your clothing, gum side up on a hard surface like your kitchen counter. Put an absorbent cloths under the stain.
Spray the WD-40 right on the gum stain and let it sit a minute.
STEP 3:
Brush the gum in ONE direction as it is broken down by the WD-40. Remove the excess pieces of gum as you brush the spot.
Continue to spray and brush the area until the gum is completely removed.
STEP 4:
Launder the clothing or fabric according to the directions to remove the WD-40.
