Grease Stain Removal can be done quickly and easily if you familiarize yourself with these general stain removal tips.
Let's imagine you change the oil in the car and your son tracks grease in on his shoes.
Or, you ride you're bike a few miles and get grease on your new favorite pants from the chain.
However it happens, grease is grease and you want it gone. When grease gets on your stuff, you'll be ready.
Removing GREASE from Carpet or Upholstery requires the same method:
Step 1:
Remove as much of the grease as possible by scraping it up if it's dry or by blotting it up, with a clean cloth, if it's wet.
Step 2:
Sprinkle the stain with salt, baking soda, cornstarch or talcum powder to absorb any excess grease and let it stand for 6-12 hours,
then vacuum. (Do not brush the powder, this will cause the stain to spread and weaken the carpet or upholstery fibers).
Some stains are tougher than others to remove, but with a little bit of persistence, you should be able to remove it.
If the stain remains:
Step 3:
Rub shaving cream into the spot with a toothbrush.
Step 4:
Wipe the shaving cream off with a dampened cloth.
Step 5:
Blot with a cold, wet sponge.
If the stain still remains.
Step 6:
