Step 1: Gather up as much of the excess solid as you can using a dull knife. Be sure not to spread the stain. Step 2: Mix warm water with just a few drops of ammonia. This is one of the very few times you will use heat to clean a spot. As a rule, heat causes the stain to set. Step 3: Lay the fabric stain side down on a clean cloth. Sponge the area from the back with the ammonia and warm water mixture. Step 4: Hold the fabric under the faucet and rinse it with warm water through the back of the stain.
